The next interview was conducted when this band was still called Treblinka, soon after it changed the name to the actual Tiamat. Interview done during 1990. Psicoterror: Treblinka is a very suggestive name, could you tell us what does it means, and what is the meaning for you? Treblinka: Yes, if it is suggestive or not it depends of how open is your mind or not… I chose this name because it sounds good… I don’t know if it has some meaning. (ED: NO??!) Psicoterror: What kind of thematic do you evoke with your songs? “Satanism”? Treblinka: Yeah…satanism, evilness, darkness, mystical lyrics!!! Psicoterror: What kind of bands do you listen to? Treblinka: Samael, Rotting Christ, Front 242, Morbid Angel, Terrorizer, Autopsy, Venom, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits… Psicoterror: Which was your best show until now? Treblinka: Probably the one done in Stockholm in February (89)…there were a lot of bangers in there!! Psicoterror: What can you say about the scene in your city? Treblinka: I don’t know…I don’t give a fuck! Psicoterror: Give your opinion about the chemical/nuclear war? Treblinka: Well, this is the best way to kill all the fucking people, but I don’t think that someone is going to do this so I don’t understand the reason of all of those weapons!! Psicoterror: What musical works have you created until now? Treblinka: Two demos, one single and a song in a compilation LP. When this is ready we will record our debut LP for the C.H.F.T. records. Psicoterror: Future projects? Treblinka: To go to Norway and Poland to play, spread our LP and singles, compose new songs and rehearse them carefully… Psicoterror: Last words… Treblinka: Thanks a lot for your interest in Treblinka!! Buy our evil single for $6. Ok!, that’s all!! Contact (well, at that time): c/o Johan Edlund Albert Malares v. 21 E 183 74 Täby
